Miriam is a diversity and inclusion consultant, project manager and mentor with over twenty-five years’ experience of planning, delivering and managing cultural change and equity initiatives.
She has worked in several sectors including statutory, voluntary and most recently within the higher education sector, leading teams to deliver effective change. Miriam is a qualified trainer (PTLLS) and an experienced public speaker, mentor and educator.
In her most recent role as Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion at the University of Cambridge, she led the institution to implement its ED&I strategy, instigated a wellbeing programme of activity, developed a robust system of embedding equality through delivering tailored inclusive leadership training and best inclusive practice interventions in the areas of recruitment, retention and progression.
As a person with a lifelong medical condition and a member of the LGBTQ+ community she has first-hand experience of being at the intersection of communities.
